The Village in the City

May is one of the awaited month for Super Friends. Among all the months, May has the most numbered of birthday celebrants. It's been our "tradition" in SF to treat the group for a dinner, but its not a compulsory, its our way of sharing our blessing with one another and thanking the Lord for all the blessing we had and have including the friendship that we have for each other.
Our standard must be all worth it - from the place to the food and of course must be pocket friendly. For how many years we are doing this, madami na ring naka-witness ng aming mga tawanan, kulitan, at "katakawan" - from hotels to restaurants to food chain, kung siguro may carinderia dito malamang natry na rin namin. Celebrations is not all about places and foods, its more on who are with you. Kaya naman talagang effort ang maghanap ng place where to hold the dinner.
Saturday, I go out of the office on time to meet my friends - Jane, her husband Junjun and Kuya Noel. Our mission is to look for a place to celebrate Jane's birthday. The place must be comfortable to all of us, the food must suited to our taste buds, and the cost must be pocket friendly, it must be affordable.
Here is one of the place we visited.

WELCOME TO THE VILLAGE!

From the time you enter the place, you'll feel that its like you're far away from the city - quiet, peaceful, and feel so close to the nature
THE VILLAGE is a Mediterranean restaurant. They have three dining styles such as Deli, Medi, and Grill. Deli is their "meet and greet" place. It is also the place for coffee and cake lovers. Medi is the place to connect and Grill is the place for family where children has their own corner.

Let's go inside...
These stuffs will welcome you as you enter their main door.
Most of their staffs are Filipinos :)
Since we're looking for a dinner course, an affordable dinner, the receptionist gave us the Deli Menu.
The "oculist" - Jane, Kuya Noel, Junjun

We are 16 persons in the group kaya talaga dapat yung pocket friendly lang , kawawa naman ang manglilibre..hahaha
Nakakagutom na!
The MEDI is where their buffet is...

The place and the food presentation is good and seems the food is okdin naman yun nga hindi pasok sa budget..hahaha.

ME: Jane balik tayo dito kain tayo pero KKB :)

THE VILLAGE is located in Salwa Road, Doha Qatar. You can call them at 44444700 or email them at reservations@thevillageqatar.com for reservations.
Until now we're still looking where Jane can celebrate her birthday complying to those standards I mentioned, so guys if you have know any just let me know :)
