Sanitizing Melissa

How's your weekend guys? I hope that though we are still under quarantine, you are still able to spend your time wisely - doing some chores, crafting or relaxing on a couch while reading your favorite book or watching your favorite series.
As long as naenjoy mo yung time mo at hindi mo narinig ang sarili mo na nagreklamo ka na "gabi na naman wala na namang nangyari sa maghapon ko" then you spent your time wisely.
I enjoyed my weekend, for me "gold" ang magkaroon ng 2 days off kasi every other weekend lang ako may off ng Saturday and I'm still going to office despite of the pandemic. I know that the Lord JESUS Christ will protect me and will give me strength everyday.
So ayun na nga speaking of weekend, sinulit ko talaga. Friday I attended online worship services and bonding with my family dito sa bahay and even sa Pinas. I enjoyed my bed, nakakamiss yung you don't mind time kung anong oras  kang gigising kasi wala naman pasok. Hooray talaga yun for me! So today, one of the major accomplishment ko is to clean and sanitize some of my shoes.
Recently there are some posts spreading that the COVID can live on the sole of the shoes for 5 days. So what we did, we have now shoe rack near our door kung saan namin iniiwan ang mga shoes namin, so additional to that I think that sanitizing shoes can be done also at least every weekend.
I love shoes, actually namana ko yata yun kay Mommy. Lumaki ako na kung anong color ng bag ganon din ang shoes ko pero since dapat talaga mabilisan ang kilos kapag OFW ka dito, sabi ko nga time is gold , minsan kapag papasok sa office kung ano na lang maisip isuot na shoes hahaha pero make it sure naman na color coordinated pa rin.
Let me share you some of my shoes na super comfortable talaga sa paa and you can wear whether in office, casual events or any occasion (hindi po ito paid advertisement ha). May ganon talaga ako na attitude I can stick to a brand basta nagustuhan ko or nastisfied ako.
I'm not fond of rubber material texture shoes pero from the start na natry ko yung Dumond brand made in Brazil nagustuhan ko talaga until I met Melissa.

Here's a trivia I got about Melissa:
Melissa are made from MELFLEX plastic, a patented, hypo-allergenic, recyclable, and extremely flexible PVC. The shoes are totally cruelty free and devoid of animal products. The Brazilian-based company is totally rad in its recycling of 99.9% of factory water and waste, and they also go the distance by recycling overstock styles into next season’s collection. Even better? Melissa Shoes employees are paid above average wages and benefits.

Today, I clean and sanitized my Melissa shoes. So guys if you have Melissa shoes din, super easy sya linisin and low maintenance talaga.
I have a 5 pairs of Melissa. Well, nabili ko lang sya lahat ng nakasale (para ano pa na nasa Procurement  line ako di ba) 2 of these shoes I bought 120 QAR from its original price of QAR799. Best buys talaga di ba? :)

Here are some tips on how to clean your Melissa Shoes:

1. Get a small basin with liquid soap, brush, sponge, soft cloth (cotton), alcohol in sprayer.
2. Wet the sole but do not soak into the basin. Clean the sole using brush and water with liquid soap.
3. Check the body of the shoes to find the dirt. Usually, since glossy ang texture mejo maitim ang dirt nya na nakakapit and since glossy need ng extra care.
4. Use a sponge or cloth on the body of the shoes. Wipe it until the dirt is gone.
5. Wipe it with dry cotton cloth. Its important na soft and cotton to avoid scratches.
6. For the inside, yung small brush like old tooth brush lang then clean the lining part. If you will notice yun talaga yung sinisingitan ng mga dumi. You will see it visibly talaga yung mga natanggal na dumio.
7. Wipe it with cloth until ma-dry. To be sure na dry sya, pwede muna pahanginan.
8. Now you can sanitize it using an alcohol in bottle sprayer.
9. Spray it with alcohol, mejo mataas yung position ng kamay para wisik-wisik lang.
10. Let it dry bago ulit ilagay sa box or shoe rack.

Another thing I really love on Melissa aside sa comfy sya, hindi nawawala yung fragrance nya kahit nakailang years na at lagi kong ginagamit, still yung smell nya ang bango pa rin :)

Guys, I encourage you kung mejo nauubusan na kayo ng ginagawa at mejo napapansin nyo na nabobored na kayo, there are so many things you can do to be productive inside the house. So hope this simple tips can help you to stay safe and healthy against the virus. Stay clean and keep sanitizing!
God bless us all :)

Here's a bible verse that I want to leave you that you can meditate:

“The one who says he resides in God ought himself to walk just as Jesus walked.”
 I JOHN 2:6

When we walk with the Lord we draw closer to the Lord with all our heart. He becomes our focus. Our hearts longs for Him. Our heart seeks His presence. Our desire to have fellowship with Christ and be like Him will grow while our worldly desires will decrease.

Ang Flip flops, Ang Tsinelas at Ang Pag-ibig

Yesterday my 9 years 2 months and 23 days flip flops said good bye to me.

I received the said flip flops as a Valentine gifts from my parents last February 14, 2005. Babago pa lang nauuso ang mga flip flops that times and ang mamahal pa. Although I'm already working that time pero parang nanghihinayang ako to spend 500PHP on just a stylish slipper na hindi ko naman pwedeng gamitin sa work, that time kasi ang flip flops must have lang during summer unlike now that you can even wear it even you're wearing a dress. My mom knows how I love to have one pero lagi kong sinasabi sa kanya na I'd rather buy a flat sandals (one finger) from Rusty or I'll just wait CLN to have a sale than to buy flip flops. Valentine 2005 ako lang ang naiwan sa bahay, well we don't really celebrate Vday and since its weekend that time, its just a co-incidence na may date si Mommy at Daddy while si brother nasa girlfriend nya and me nasa bahay lang, I am from LDR kasi that time, its costly kaya that time kasi hindi nga kayo nagdate kung saang mga fine dining restaurant pero ang mahal ng overseas call, wala pa kasing skype at video call ang FB that time, ang yahoo messenger naman magiinit lang ang ulo nyo sa bagal at sa sorang choppy. So stay lang ang beauty ko sa bahay that time at namalancha na lang ang lola nyo while telebabad, sabi ko sa inyo since then pa lang magaling na ako sa multitasking hehehe.
After kong mamalancha watch lang ako ng tv and after umusok ang telepono, dumating na sina Mommy ko I'm expecting na may dala silang food ^____^. Kahit malalaki na kasi kami, ang parents namin basta may pupuntahan may pasalubong and ngayon naman kami na ang gumagawa ng ganon sa kanila, kahit saan kami magpunta kahit nga sa SM lang I always make sure na I have pasalubong with them. As children we must return the favor they've did to us not as an obligation or responsibility but out of love and care. "Sapatos na naman?" referring to what's inside the bag that she's holding.
I tried to search it on my inbox pero mukhang sa katagalan ay nadelete na nga even sa net wala akong makita na katulad talaga ng email na yon pero here is the jist:
In the end sya rin ang hahanaphanpin mo.
Always trust in the Lord for He knows the best for us at kung ano man ang will Nya for us tanggapin natin.

Love Bracelet by Cartier

Most of the girls love accessories, for some its already a staple of their everyday outfit. Like most women, I love to wear at least a piece - a simple yet elegant will really complete your outfit.
I've seen this bracelet on some fashion sites and eyeing this to have until I came across to an article about the bracelet itself. I found out that I'm not qualified buyer? Let's find out why and check if you're qualified or not as well.
Yup you see it right girls, bracelet from Cartier, simple, classic, and elegant.

For sure you've noticed many celebrities are already wearing this, because aside from its simplicity and elegance this jewelry is also a symbol of chastity.  Cartier love jewelry collection includes ring as well.
The story about the Cartier love bracelets goes back to 1969 when late Aldo Cipullo created the Cartier chastity bracelet as his very own interpretation of chastity belt.
I see so may chastity belt pala talaga ang alam ko lang kasi chastity ring, meron din palang belt.
It was believed that chastity belt was a device where husband locked around their wives' waist to ensure fidelity while they are away. The bracelet locks around the wrist and comes with a tiny screwdriver. The locking of the bracelet symbolizes eternal love, and once the bracelet goes around the wrist it isn't easily remove, and the only way to remove it is through the screwdriver.
Isn't it a great idea if instead of ring, love bracelet na lang?
Like any other jewelry brand Cartier issued a policy on selling their love bracelet. Would you believe that not all even you have money can buy this? Yup unless otherwise your partner will buy it for you. No customer can purchase the Cartier love bracelet for themselves.
Do you think what's the reason of Cartier?
So for you ladies you need to drop off some hints to your man to buy for you and or vice versa.
So in short, hindi pa talaga ako pwede bumili nito...pagiipunan ko muna para if ever na ayaw akong bili I'll just give him money to buy for me,hahaha

Basic yet Essential on Neckline, Jeans, and Dress

Let's go back to fashion 101 class :-)
Every woman has its own favorite accessories out of her box but sometimes no matter how many and how fashionable they are it doesn't look attractive when you wear it.
So here are some infographics to help you and me on how to wear right staples on a certain outfit.

Neckline and Necklace
I'm not that much on wearing necklace but I have my own rule on having it as a part of my outfit. Here are some of my personal tips:
1. Buy a classic piece, classic in the sense that you can wear it flexibly no matter how formal or casual your outfit.
If you doesn't have pearl necklace yet I suggest you to have, its the most timeless piece a woman can have. Second woman's best friend of course diamond is the first on line. You can wear it weather your in dress, jeans or even on your summer get up.

2. Use bold necklace for a simple and plain top, but use the simplest you have for printed top.
3. Be sure not to over accessorize. If you are wearing dangling or chandelier earrings do not use bold necklace, sometimes it would be better not to wear necklace and stick only to a fab earrings.

Shoes and Jeans

Dress to Marry
Don't be a dress victim on your next party, if you don't have an idea yet on which cut will best fit on you, check this.

These are only simple and basic guidelines but essential. Its important to know which one will be best suited to us, it will really help us to look more beautiful, and feel good.
And girls, the more we are aware to which one will be best fitted to us the more we can save. So don't be a messy dressy woman, just be informed and aware and for sure you'll be gorgeous.

SONA's Red Carpet 2013

Every year I'm one of those million Filipinos who are waiting for the State of the Nation Address. I have only two reasons: what the President will say and who will be the best on the red carpet.
I was not able to watch yet the SONA but I'm so interested to know in details more than I grasp from social media posts what does the President said. But I enjoyed watching the scene on the red carpet :-)
Before of the SONA at Batasang Pambansa, Senators opened the first senate session yesterday, notice that some of them change outfit pa talaga before heading to SONA.

The Senators of the 16th Congress of the Philippines

Let's take a glimpse on the red carpet of the Batasang Pambansa.
In every event especially in a red carpet there's always a best dressed and worst, but I chose only those that captured my attention.
"Oscars of the Philippine Politics" this is how JC Buendia, designer, describes the red carpet on the President annual State of the Nation Address.

The Family
SONA is one of the few event that we as an ordinary citizen can see other family members of the officials that we voted, of course Aquino Family is known by everyone already.
Aquino sisters with designer Paul Cabral
 The Binays
Laguna Congressman Dan Fernandez with family

The Couples
SONA give way also for politicians and government officials to walk in the red carpet with their spouse.

 JV Ejercito and wife
Kabataan Party Rep. Tery Ridon and wife
Marikina 2nd district rep. Miro Quimbo and wife, one of the best dressed
Quezon City Rep. Alfred vargas and wife
Davao del norte Rep. Anton Lagdameo and wife Dawn Zulueta, one of the best dressed

 Senator Bam Aquino and wife

Every SONA, expect number of outfits made from indigenous fabric pinya nd designs that highlight the ethnic Filipino heritage. Symbolic outfits and Filipiniana is on trends as well but nothing beats simplicity.

Less is More...
Assunta De Rosi on her black Filipiniana
Sen. Grace Poe on her perpetual Filipiniana

 Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno
According to CJ Sereno, she chose color purple as this color is the color of the judiciary.
 Valenzuela Councilor Charee Pineda
As per Coun. Charee she just chose yellow to still look young at age of 23 in Filipiniana.

 Senator Nancy Binay
 Nikki Coseteng

Vice Governor Jinky Pacquaio

Sen. Loren Legarda
Best Dresser goes to...My personal choice Leyte Rep.Lucy Torres-Gomez

Who's your choice guys?

But ooopsss how about one of the "sexiest" dressed. Well she was able to carry herself naman, kaya lang sana next time not that bare, its SONA not Film fest naman.
At the Senate before the SONA

the front
the back
Senator Pia wore a bare back gown also last 2012 SONA, so kaabang-abang every year let just find out next SONA if she will wear the same.
Simple, magarbo man or agaw attention man sila sa red carpet its their performance on the government that matters, servant of the people and not a "highness"

The Battle for the Bags

Social media is considered as a part of everyday living of many people. Admit it or not it makes our lives easier in a way - Facebook is just a click to connect with family abroad and some long lost friends; Tweeter and Instagram is just a peek to know where and what you're loved ones up to, Multiply is where most of your stuffs are posted, and a click away to received on hands. And a Blogger to tell the stories of what you feel, to inform you what's happening around, and so many more.
But more than those reasons social media is also a tool to extend help and love to others. I had my FB account 2008 but after few days of having it, I decided to deactivate, I even posted about top 3 on FB. Thank for my friend who convinced me, thank for his persuasive powers :-), as he said I can help and reach many people if I'll open an FB account, and I guess he is right.
Social media like Multiply, FB and Blogger has been a great help for me in advertising the fund raising for a caused I did and even for my friends Kcat and Abhie who's been very loving and helpful to others.
Yesterday, while browsing I came across to some blogs featuring a fund raising for Rhea Ferro. I got curious and read it - its a BATTLE FOR THE BAGS. Rhea Ferro is a woman with breast cancer for 8 years. She's battling into big C with faith, full of enthusiasm, and 1000 percent will to live imaginable. Her heart is filled with optimism but her serious turn begin when she was diagnosed in stage 4. But she never give up. She was included to special programs of Stanford, they will give a full scope of medical treatments she needs but as we know that's the only thing she will be needing, her. friends together with Rhea's cousin and sister organized this auction (fund raising).
I don't know them personally and the reason why I'm posting this is to get "likes", "comments" or any praises but to do my part in helping and reaching a person to the best way I can.
BATTLE FOR THE BAGS.....
I love bags and I really value every piece I have. Its every woman dream to have her own high end brand bag - not class A I'm talking for an authentic, original bag.
How many bags do you have with you? How many are still in their plastic and not have been used even a single? nakakaguilty ang sarili kong tanong.... Are you willing to give it freely to a person who's battling for a sickness? Or how much more a branded, a high end bags, will you give it up over a person you don't even know?
Battle for the Bags is an auction of pre-loved branded bags for the benefit of Rhea Ferro. The auction aims to put those bags out of the closet of lovely ladies everywhere and bringing smiles and hope to one special lady's heart.
I feel so blessed and inspired to know that there are many donors who freely gave their branded bags to help. Well guys if you are bag lover then you'll understand why its hard to let go, not only because of its price but the value of every pieces.
June 15, 2013, all the bags were gathered in preparation on auction day on June 22, 2013. Just to give you peek on some of the bags to be auctioned, here's my personal choice I've got on their site.

A classic beauty of HERMES tote bag for 30,000.00 Php and have it for 70,000.00 Php.

Hold this PRADA clutch and be eyed, starts at 11,000.00 Php
A teal nylon from PRADA, starts at 8,000.00 Php

Bags for every woman is an essential, its not only a staple. We value every piece that we have, as I have said every piece of mine has a story, but in times of battle, our bags can be our weapon - for a patient cancer like Rhea lets make bag as weapon to fight cancer.
I don't have any plan to join in the bidding for these bags but it doesn't mean I cannot do anything to help, that's the main reason for this post, spreading the word. That's the power of social media - reaching people in just one click.
If you are reading this post, I'm encouraging you to share or pass it to whoever you know maybe through that it will reach to someone who is interested to join in the auction. Social media gone so far and if we will just only use it wisely and right, social media will be a great help to help other people even we doesn't know each other personally, even we have different races and culture from one another.
You can choose and bid or own so many bags on their auction - colorful and loud or a conservative black, they have a full range of it.
To see more of the bags to be auctioned click here : BATTLE FOR THE BAGS
For your ticket for the auction, you can get it HERE
Its a date on weekend, June 22, 2013, and don't forget to spread the word. The more people to know, the more chances the bags will be sold.
Let's keep on spreading the good deeds!
God bless

First Visit at Ezdan Mall

One day off from work is enough if you used it right, that's my motto every weekend. Friday is the start of the weekend in almost all countries in the middle east and for some companies here like the company I'm engaged to we're entitled only for one day off so for almost 7 years I already used to have a single day out of the office. I make it sure to spend it wisely and it will be worthy.
After we had a baby shower for my cousin Peach, and since its only 7:30 p.m. nagkaayaang gumala, road trip lang ang peg ng mga lola nya and since full tank naman si Jeri (my cousin Les car) gora lang kahit hindi alam ang exact way. We ended up to the newly opened Ezdan Mall.
Ezdan Mall is located opposite Landmark in Al Shamal Road. It has 40,000 sq.m retail  space. Ezdan mall will have a focus on families and incorporates a private gardens inside.
I didn't take much photos of how does it looks like inside as there are still many vacant spaces around for more retailers. Honestly, one of the reason I want to visit Ezdan is to check Forever 21. I first knew Forever 21 when I visited in Dubai, bought some pieces that until now I'm keeping on my closet- in fairness naman talaga maganda yung quality ng mga clothes nila, although now there are so many Forever 21 outlet in Philippines, I never had a chance yet to visit them.
Welcome to FOREVER 21....
Wondering how they come up to their name :-)
Just a trivia before it became Forever 21 its started as Fashion 21. The store was founded in Los Angeles in 1984, as of 2011 they have 480 number of locations, guys locations pa lang yon not stores. Remember this brand sign XXI, the next time you see this its Forever 21.
Lets go and check what's inside....
Forever 21 offers clothing and accessories for women, men, teens and even for kids. What I love from their stores, their stuffs are organized according to class, color, and style. For on the go shopper, its important to be in the shop where everything is organize, well that's the reason maybe whey F21 doesn't that much sales ladies / men around like from the other stores.
Gold is everywhere! Its just like Christmas is just around the corner :-)
I'm not a fan of gold accessories feeling ko donya-donyahan ako kapag nakagold but when I see F21 collections pwede pala na hindi formal-formalan ang peg ni gold. Check their bangle's collection.
Looking for an accessories that go with your spring mood? Well you can never go wrong to their pastel colors necklaces paired with different kind of earrings - studs, chandelier, dangling, name it they have it!
Basic and Classic
Well if you want to be on the safe side in every outfit you'll have, go along with the basic and classic cream and gold. Satchel bag with bangle will surely compliment perfectly your street style outfit-of-the-day.
Accessories is a part of every outfit especially for the girls that's why I know ladies that like me you'll choose a cheap price yet standout, mas maraming mabibili kapag mura lang di ba. I think F21 is the right place to shop. The price of these earrings starts at 19.00QR only.
Lately I just noticed when I am shopping halos pare-pareho na I mean wala na minsang trademark design yung mga shops like sa shoes, malalaman mo lang na yung pala yung brand kapag nakita mo sa sole aakalain mo yung isang brand yon kasi nga pareho na ng style, design and color. So as a shopper we know to check other shops din muna before buying especially if you're not in a hurry naman.
I heart this pair of earrings but I didn't buy it, it only cost 19QR in F21 and the same design as in exactly the same I saw in ALDO, and its 49QR
Oh my!!! what's the difference? only the board where the earrings are placed, but you'll not wear it with the paper board naman kaya. My dear co-shoppers be wise, even a single cents matters.
my cousins checking F21 fashionable rings
Looking for shoes, sandals and flip flops to complete your get up, they have it in here as well. Some of their sandals cost as low as 75QR only, they have so many styles and design that you can choose from.
Looking for light and colorful clothes to complete your spring collections? they have it as well from colorful swim wears to shorts and pastel pants, and see how they arranged their stuffs - you don't need to think what to pair cos they will paired it for you.

Forever 21 is for every sizes. Ladies on the big frame or "bigger' frame will definitely can choose a stylish dress in here as well. They have "PLUS SIZE ++" corner to choose from, so worry no more.

They have DENIM section also where you can find classic collection of denim style of pants, shorts and even skirts.

F21 occupies bigger space compare the other shops in Ezdan but still not as big as they have in malls in Dubai yet the designs, styles and even how they arranged the shops itself is the same. I didn't take photos of men section I'll try to take on my next visit.

So what are you waiting for, shoppingeras and shoppingeros don't forget to write on your list the F21.
Other stores include Aeropostale, Tommy Hilfiger, Migato, Polo, CottonOn, and some shops that you can see in all other malls like ALDO, Charles and Keith. They have Carrefour also if you want to buy your groceries.
I got a pair of red shoes from C & K, may pagdayo pa ako ng Ezdan meron naman sa City Centre ..hehehe, why not they are on sale :-)
Ezdan has a big lobby and you can see chairs in the aisle, at least you can sit if get tired. They have customer service attendants too if you need to ask something.
They have some fun rides also for kids but of course its not free, so mommy you can go to Ezdan with your baby but be sure you have someone with you to take care of him while your shopping. They have only few restaurants opened.
We gave it a try to the famous Tim Hortons.

Welcome to Tim Hortons...
Tim Hortons is a Canadian fast casual restaurants known for its coffee and doughnuts. Like any coffee houses they have also their signature coffee and they are selling coffee powder with their own brand too.
new career :-) Tim Hortons endorser
They have variety of flavors of doughnuts to choose from, they have also croissants, cinnamon rolls, and their bagels which we really enjoyed. Aside from bread product, they caters soup as well and other food that you can really enjoy even you're in a cafe.
Seeing that almost all of the crews in Tim Hortons makes me proud as Filipino again, it just means that more and more employers trust our race. Hooray to more Filipinos on the job!
And here's what we enjoyed...
Presenting the Tim Hortons :-)
If you are a coffee lover or I must say drinker you can easily identify the taste of their coffee compare to others. Their brewed are really brewed, and yung lasang kape nya talaga winner hindi lasang creamer na hinaluan ng kape ..hehehe. Thumbs Up for Tim Hortons!
If others have frap, their version is their iced coffee. Yup literally coffee with ice cubes. Their doughnuts are not that sweet, for me its fine at least hindi nakakasuya. We chose cinnamon and chocolate glaze. I've tasted the soup ordered by my cousin and pasado rin. No wonder they are famous, in just simple and easy to prepared food mageenjoy ka.
Thanks to my cousin Les for the treat!
Happy Tummy, Happy Us!
If you want to visit Ezdan, I suggest to have your own car or car lift, I didn't see any taxi roaming around, maybe its because its still newly opened and so many stores are still close. But so far I can say its will be another place for family and friends to gather and to mingle.
Like in any other malls where parking is one of the main concern, Ezdan can occupies 1,800 cars, in fairness ang laki naman talaga nung area nila halos palibot yata parking then may underground parking pa.
I'm looking forward for WH Bookstore to open :-) Hope it will be soon
New place, added to the list to visit and to shop not only for weekend but even when stressful day strikes.
