Dream Now, Travel Later

The holidays started today in the gulf. Actually we started since yesterday so its really a long weekend for us since Friday. We will be back to office on Wednesday. Usually on this season people are out of the country and travelling but due to COVID its not permitted and not really advisable to travel. I miss visiting other countries aside from my native. I love seeing God's creation and masterpieces and how He put it artistically into each country.
It will cost naman talaga money depends sa countries na pupuntahan mo but for me especially when I reached my 30s mas naappreciate ko ang experience over material things. I still shop and reward myself after working hard sa mga bagay na gusto ko but part of growing up and "maturing" siguro kaya talagang nalessen. I'm not a traveler yet  though I visited several countries na din naman but not as others are doing but God's will di ba I can travel again (after this pandemic).
Lately I watch more on travel vlogs and I can't help myself wishing and imagining myself being on those places that I am watching - wishful thinking :)
Just want to share you some of so many countries that I want to visit (not in order) but my number 1 is really a dream since I was a child.

*Photos on this post are not mine.

Czech Republic
I have a book named "Life & Leisure" that I received as gift sa isang kaibigan ng parents ko. Imagine mga 6 or 7 years old pa lang ako ganon na ang regalo sa akin :) Most of the places don sa book are European places but Czech Republic really impressed me a lot until now. I love architecture and detailed designs never to mentioned the castle and old historical buildings. Kapag may mga intricate designs sobrang nagiging interesado ako kasi I know how much effort ang binuhos don ng gumawa.

Denmark
It won (I can't remember the year) as the happiest place in the world and from then on I became curious and read some articles about the place. Few years ago I met a Filipina who is married to a Danish. I met her through a charity fund raising when she donated a painting to me sa ginagawa kong fund raising para sa isang maysakit na bata. Through her mas nagkaroon ako ng idea about the lifestyle and living in Denmark. She told me that equality in Denmark really matters - doctor ka man or farmer pantay pantay lang ang tingin sa inyo ng society. Ranking and status does not matter if your living in that country and when you marry a Danish hindi katulad sa ibang bansa na madali mong makukuha yung citizenship, no no no, according to her hindi ganon kadali ang kumuha ng citizenship sa Denmark.

Switzerland
I love nature and I really love to see the famous alpine village in Grindelwald Switzerland. Waking up with the view with the smells of fresh trees and flowers, hearing the sounds of the lakes while sipping coffee and doing your morning devotion. Iniisip ko pa lang super naeexcite na ako :) And how about the Swiss chocolates that everyone love!

Germany
Ever since I was a child I heard a lot of stories how beautiful this country is and from then I get interested to read about it though not that much. Just recently found myself watching travel vlogs about it. Frankfurt, Munich, and Berlin, at least one of these cities man lang :) I'm not much into city tour but these three captured my heart talaga ^_^

New Zealand
Who can't resist the scenic beauty of this country! I love nature - the greens, lakes, fresh air, alpines, and they have these all. I know all of their place has something good to offer.

Netherlands
I fell in love in this country when I watched the movie "The Fault in our Stars" If I'm not mistaken that is in Amsterdam and until now I'm still in love to its vibes. Planned a trip before with my friends in the church but good thing it was not pushed, that's the same month when my mom passed away :(
Japan
It everyone's dream destination and I belong to them! Beautiful, historical, nature places and even places for shopping they have it. Food tripping is a must part of the itinerary. I worked in a Japanese international company for 9 years but during that time mahigpit pa sila sa pagiissue ng visa compare today.

Israel
Its every Christian dream destination to visit the Holy Land and given a chance to visit the place I will choose during pre- winter season, the weather is not that hot and not that cold. Siguro maiiyak ako when I first land my feet especially don sa mga places na kung saan lumakad si Jesus. According to some friends na nakapunta na iba daw talaga ang feeling. God's willing talaga I can visit.

I still have a lot places in my mind that I want to visit - Spain also is in my top 10 but for now yan muna :)
More than material things I learned now to appreciate and treasure memories. Memories that I can keep forever in my heart and mind. I learned that travelling is not a "luxury" thing and not a waste of money. God created each country with its own beauty. Each places has its own landmarks that everyone will remember. Travelling in other countries or even in local places is really a blessing. It may sounds expensive and its really is but if you will plan and really save for it, it will all worth it.  For now while there's still pandemic, let us continue to pray until this end. Let's pray for all countries and their citizens too. The Lord continue to heal the world.
Keep safe, healthy, and sane! God bless us all

By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible - Hebrew 11:3

Faithing

In midst of our situation today we are so vulnerable to all kinds of negativity. Social media feeds are filled with news that will make us feel down— the number of positive patients of COVID are rising, just today dito sa Qatar 929 ang new cases, frontliners are getting sick and dying especially sa medical fields, marami na rin ang mga nagsasarang companies at mga small businesses na walang kita, isa na ako don as M is for MINERVA is for the meantime no transactions but God's will malapit na ulit, and marami tayong mga kababayan na makikita or nababalitaan natin na nagugutom.

How to stand firm during this tough time?
Have faith and continue fighting with it.
Pray that the Lord will continue to strengthen you-sa lahat ng bagay na ginagawa or gagawin mo. Pray to guide you and give you wisdom sa mga decision making mo.
And when you pray, you should have faith. May faith ka na lahat ng ipinagpray mo kay Lord in His perfect time and according to His wlll ay sasagutin Nya.
Sometimes kasi masyado tayong mainipin, kapag nagpray gusto kaagad instant answer. Di ba sabi nga, as we pray unti unti nagbabago din ang heart natin. Kaya tuloy lang sa pananalangin and hold on to your faith.

God will flatten the curve! Pray and have faith
God will send healing! Pray and have faith
God will provide, He will sustain the world! Pray and have faith.

Have you ever heard the word "faithing"? Faithing = faith + fight
Faithing or Pananampalataya lumalaban

DON'T LET THE FEAR EMPOWER YOUR FAITH! HAVE FAITH & FIGHT
OUR GOD IS FAITHFUL. HE WILL ALWAYS BE
Let's do FAITHING!

Blooming

Today morning when we are heading to office, usapang blooming naman kami. Blooming as in not the temporary blooming ka lang today or yesterday but yung blooming meaning "peak"

May mga times na maririnig natin "ang ganda nya nung bata sya" or "mas gumanda sya nung lumaki" meron naman "mas gumaganda sya habang nagkakaedad sya" Every person has its own beauty, hindi dahil hindi sila ka pansin pansin sa mata mo ay hindi na sya maganda. Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder nga di ba. But do you know that there is Someone na maganda tayo sa paningin Nya?

While waiting for that time enjoy the beauty that you have, be joyful everyday and that joy in your heart will surely radiates on your face.

Imagine yang mga flowers🌸 na yan uulan, aaraw, magwiwinter at magsusummer pero those flowers will bloom sa itinakdang season ni Lord para mamulaklak sila. Ganon din tayo 😊
Wait for your season, wag mong pangunahan si Lord sa itinakda nyang season para magbloom ka.
Uulitin ko ha, maganda ka repeat after me: I am beautiful. I am wonderfully and fearfully made by my Creator, Lord Jesus Christ.
God bless you

Sanitizing Melissa

How's your weekend guys? I hope that though we are still under quarantine, you are still able to spend your time wisely - doing some chores, crafting or relaxing on a couch while reading your favorite book or watching your favorite series.
As long as naenjoy mo yung time mo at hindi mo narinig ang sarili mo na nagreklamo ka na "gabi na naman wala na namang nangyari sa maghapon ko" then you spent your time wisely.
I enjoyed my weekend, for me "gold" ang magkaroon ng 2 days off kasi every other weekend lang ako may off ng Saturday and I'm still going to office despite of the pandemic. I know that the Lord JESUS Christ will protect me and will give me strength everyday.
So ayun na nga speaking of weekend, sinulit ko talaga. Friday I attended online worship services and bonding with my family dito sa bahay and even sa Pinas. I enjoyed my bed, nakakamiss yung you don't mind time kung anong oras  kang gigising kasi wala naman pasok. Hooray talaga yun for me! So today, one of the major accomplishment ko is to clean and sanitize some of my shoes.
Recently there are some posts spreading that the COVID can live on the sole of the shoes for 5 days. So what we did, we have now shoe rack near our door kung saan namin iniiwan ang mga shoes namin, so additional to that I think that sanitizing shoes can be done also at least every weekend.
I love shoes, actually namana ko yata yun kay Mommy. Lumaki ako na kung anong color ng bag ganon din ang shoes ko pero since dapat talaga mabilisan ang kilos kapag OFW ka dito, sabi ko nga time is gold , minsan kapag papasok sa office kung ano na lang maisip isuot na shoes hahaha pero make it sure naman na color coordinated pa rin.
Let me share you some of my shoes na super comfortable talaga sa paa and you can wear whether in office, casual events or any occasion (hindi po ito paid advertisement ha). May ganon talaga ako na attitude I can stick to a brand basta nagustuhan ko or nastisfied ako.
I'm not fond of rubber material texture shoes pero from the start na natry ko yung Dumond brand made in Brazil nagustuhan ko talaga until I met Melissa.

Here's a trivia I got about Melissa:
Melissa are made from MELFLEX plastic, a patented, hypo-allergenic, recyclable, and extremely flexible PVC. The shoes are totally cruelty free and devoid of animal products. The Brazilian-based company is totally rad in its recycling of 99.9% of factory water and waste, and they also go the distance by recycling overstock styles into next season’s collection. Even better? Melissa Shoes employees are paid above average wages and benefits.

Today, I clean and sanitized my Melissa shoes. So guys if you have Melissa shoes din, super easy sya linisin and low maintenance talaga.
I have a 5 pairs of Melissa. Well, nabili ko lang sya lahat ng nakasale (para ano pa na nasa Procurement  line ako di ba) 2 of these shoes I bought 120 QAR from its original price of QAR799. Best buys talaga di ba? :)

Here are some tips on how to clean your Melissa Shoes:

1. Get a small basin with liquid soap, brush, sponge, soft cloth (cotton), alcohol in sprayer.
2. Wet the sole but do not soak into the basin. Clean the sole using brush and water with liquid soap.
3. Check the body of the shoes to find the dirt. Usually, since glossy ang texture mejo maitim ang dirt nya na nakakapit and since glossy need ng extra care.
4. Use a sponge or cloth on the body of the shoes. Wipe it until the dirt is gone.
5. Wipe it with dry cotton cloth. Its important na soft and cotton to avoid scratches.
6. For the inside, yung small brush like old tooth brush lang then clean the lining part. If you will notice yun talaga yung sinisingitan ng mga dumi. You will see it visibly talaga yung mga natanggal na dumio.
7. Wipe it with cloth until ma-dry. To be sure na dry sya, pwede muna pahanginan.
8. Now you can sanitize it using an alcohol in bottle sprayer.
9. Spray it with alcohol, mejo mataas yung position ng kamay para wisik-wisik lang.
10. Let it dry bago ulit ilagay sa box or shoe rack.

Another thing I really love on Melissa aside sa comfy sya, hindi nawawala yung fragrance nya kahit nakailang years na at lagi kong ginagamit, still yung smell nya ang bango pa rin :)

Guys, I encourage you kung mejo nauubusan na kayo ng ginagawa at mejo napapansin nyo na nabobored na kayo, there are so many things you can do to be productive inside the house. So hope this simple tips can help you to stay safe and healthy against the virus. Stay clean and keep sanitizing!
God bless us all :)

Here's a bible verse that I want to leave you that you can meditate:

“The one who says he resides in God ought himself to walk just as Jesus walked.”
 I JOHN 2:6

When we walk with the Lord we draw closer to the Lord with all our heart. He becomes our focus. Our hearts longs for Him. Our heart seeks His presence. Our desire to have fellowship with Christ and be like Him will grow while our worldly desires will decrease.

Flying Kathy & Me

When people heard the word "middle east" the other counterpart word that comes to others is "desert" Try to picture on your mind how does the deserted country looks like - puro buhangin lang, mainit, walang masyadong buildings at walang nabubuhay na mga halaman. Well ganon yung napipicture sa isip ko almost 14 years ago bago ako pumunta dito sa Qatar. Stepping out on my comfort zone - being away sa place na nakasanayan mo, people, friends and most especially family na ever since namulat ka sa mundo kasama mo na. Far away from those "independent" life before they become OFW, hindi ako talaga ganon, hindi ako katulad ng iba na naexperienced magwork away from home or magdorm man lang. In short 14 years ago I am totally out on my comfort zone. The only hope I have that time is that EVERYTHING WILL BE FINE, its not because of the courage I have in me but its because I entrusted everything to Jesus.

Back to what you have in mind when you picture out the desert, ako din akala ko talaga walang puno or halaman dito sa Qatar. Well, actually 14 years ago hindi pa naman talaga ganong kadami ang mga trees and plants dito mostly talaga buildings lang talaga. And if may mga halaman man talagang pricey sya pero buti na lang dahil marami ng supply now, the law of supply and demand applies on its price na.

I love greens - trees, plants, plantacions, farm.

December last year I bought a flowering plant for my table para naman mejo sumayasaya ang ambiance at hindi puro papel na lang ang nakikita ko :)

I bought a flying kathy in Carrefour for QAR 20 (wag ka ng magconvert kasi mura na yon para sa halaman kapag nasa Middle East ka).

December 2019

At first glance para talaga syang artificial. Everyone na nakakakita is pinching it just to be sure na totoo sya. Some them will tease me, na pwede na daw ipang salad yung dahon nya kasi ang lalapad then shiny and looks crunchy daw. Super fresh, buhay na buhay talaga sya. Kung sa tao walang kastress-stress sa life nya and super blooming.

Like human, ganyan din naman tayo di ba when we are into something na gustong gusto nating gawin,it seems na effortless ang lahat and sometimes we are too idealistic na we can achieve everything kasi we know that we are doing everything to achieve our goals, pero paano kung hindi pala......

I was away for a month sa office pero bago ako umalis, ipinagbilin ko sa teaboy namin na pakialagaan ni Flying Kathy. Low maintenance naman ito - 2x a month mo lang sya need diligan at konti lang talaga, konting sunlight lang since mas nagblobloom sya kapag malamig kaya indoor lang din talaga sya. I was back from my vacation on January and ganito na sya...

January 2020

See the difference? nagdry at nalagas na yung ibang mga dahon nya. Nalungkot ako ng slight kasi I'm expecting na mas maganda ko syang makikita, I'm expecting na mas magblobloom sya pero the good thing is she's still holding on to the ground kung saan sya nakatanim. Parang she wanted to tell me na "hey I'm still blooming where I am planted".

Its like us there are times na super energetic tayo, blooming at everything runs smoothly sa life natin. Pero let's face the reality - may hurdles, challenges, problems, and unexpected circumstances tayo na mga pinagdadaanan.  How many times na nadapa ka na sa buhay? ang dami mo ng pinagdaanan pero still see yourself now - courageously and hopeful in battling the challenges of life. The Lord is good, He is good to all, and He is good all time, Sometimes, He allowed us to experience na madapa tayo para matuto tayo in life.

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose - Romans 8:28

BLOOM WHERE THE LORD PLANTED YOU!
Our Lord Jesus Christ is gracious to guide and lead you to the path that He wants you to be BUT you need to listen to Him; allow Him to control and be the driver of your life. Trust me, He will never ever fail you, never will He leave you nor forsake you. Nagiisa ka man, malayo sa pamilya or kaibigan mo, the Lord wants you to BLOOM! The Lord Jesus Christ has purpose kung bakit ka nasa situation or nasa lugar kung nasaan ka ngayon. Hindi mo alam kung anong purpose ng Lord, the ask Him, pray and He will answer.

Let each one live his life in the situation the Lord assigned when God called him -I Corinthians 7:17 (CSB)

This is Flying Kathy now, no more big, shinny and crunchy leaves, and no more flowers too but you can still see her beauty. She's still confidently holding on to the ground na para bang sinasabi nya  na " I've been to storm but here I am still standing gracefully"

There are pruning season and there are growing seasons. When I look back on my life, I can tell the greatest growth comes right after you get cut back. I am still a work in progress by the Lord Jesus Christ. And I'm expectant that the Lord will continue to move in my life.

If you are now in the situation of your life na para bang ang tingin mo ay puro problema na lang at walang nangyayari na maganda sa buhay mo, let me pray for you...

Lord Jesus Christ, our gracious and compassionate Lord, I pray that the person who's reading this blog right now, be comforted in Jesus name. You are the all knowing God - alam Mo po Lord kung ano yung best para sa tao na ito, maybe he or she planned everything for his / her life pero Lord still Your will be done sa buhay nya. Lead Him Lord for him/her to truly know You and accept You as well as his /her Personal Savior, in Jesus

Staying Safe & Healthy

Happy to be back here!

Its almost 2 years since my last entry. I have so many stories to share with you but I really don't know where to start, for the meantime let's talk about the talk of the town - the Corona Virus or COVID 19. I know all people know who is "COVID". Everyone knows his capacity to break a person's health, to put man into grave and to create fear, anxiety, and worries to all.

Sabi ko nga sa officemate ko kung ako ang papipiliin between a war and yung ganitong pandemic virus, I will choose war na lang. Bakit? at least sa war kita mo yung panganib, alam mo kung saan ka pwede magtago and yung prevention or precaution na gagawin mo nakikita mo kung may effect ba talaga, but in fighting the virus, para kang nakikipaglaban sa hangin - yung hindi mo alam kung nakascore ka na ba or mananalo ka ba talaga.

I just want to share 3 things that we can do in times like this.

First, we should take an EXTRA care. If we are careful before and cautious on how we are taking care or health and keeping our hygiene, then we should make it MORE and MORE this time.
Since I am still going to office to work, minsan nakakaparanoid na talaga lumabas. Laging nakasanitized ang kamay, may mask especially outside office, using tissue in pressing the lift, sanitizing the printer, table, phone and lahat na yata ng pwedeng isanitize! As much as possible, kung pwede lang talaga ayaw ko makikipagusap sa iba not because ayaw ko pero mas tingin ko ok na yun. I'm working in Procurement - so what to expect laging maraming suppliers na nagiinquire and maraming documents, the good things since the virus was announced that its already pandemic, bawal na ang supplier bumisita ng office and no hard copies na kami, pero it doesnt mean wala na ako ginagawa mas dumami actually kasi need ko iprint lahat sa head office. Anyways, back to taking care, yung 1.5 meter distancing talaga need ipractice. Physical distancing and not only social distancing. When I reached home, I also taking hot bath and sanitizing pa rin. I'd rather do that than to be sorry for nor doing an EXTRA CARE.

Second, its not only our  physical health that we should take care even our mental health. Worries, anxieties, and fears are only in the corner. Almost all people know so much information about the virus and social medias are feeding so much about it. Once you have a fear, anxiety or worry mas madaling bumagsak ang immune system natin. So to avoid that, you can stay away sa mga news na ganon instead if you can't really stay away from social media subscribe don sa mga page that will boost your spirit. BE MENTALLY HEALTHY.

Third, we must be SPIRITUALLY HEALTHY.  Pray and meditate. Before the pandemic virus attacked the world, ang lagi maririnig "wala akong oras" or "kulang ang oras ko" but now we have enough time. Meron nga na talagang bahay lang at nauubos ang oras sa social media or sa kakapanood ng mga movies, but have you ever allot kahit man lang 15 minutes to pray kay Lord. If there's best time to pray and to listen to Him through His word is NOW. People have a ton of excuses hindi tayo nauubusan ng excuses at gagawin kahit na sinasabi na naiinip at walang magawa still meron pa rin. The best weapon that we can have in this life, this time - is PRAYER.  People may fail you, your mobile or gadgets may break but our gracious Lord will not ever leave nor forsake you.  He can heal us physically, mentally, and emotionally.

PSALM 91 is really a good reminder of us during this time, it says:

1. Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”
3 Surely he will save you from the fowler’s snare and from the deadly pestilence.
4 He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
5 You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day,
6 nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday.
7 A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you.
8 You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked.
9 If you say, “The LORD is my refuge,” and you make the Most High your dwelling,
10 no harm will overtake you, no disaster will come near your tent.
11 For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways;
12 they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.
13 You will tread on the lion and the cobra; you will trample the great lion and the serpent.
14 “Because he loves me,” says the LORD, “I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
15 He will call on me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him.
16 With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.
Nobody knows until when this pandemic will end though we are all praying fervently for this to finish but its still the Lord Jesus Christ time table will prevail. The least we can do now is to continue to trust Him completely that He is moving - may ginagawa ang Panginoon. Maaring hindi man natin naiintindihan pero alam natin na kumikilos Sya, all we have to do is to trust Him and put our 100% hope on Him. God is able, He is always able.
So guys, STAY SAFE & DO EXTRA CARE, BE MENTALLY HEALTHY and SPIRITUALLY HEALTHY too.
This too shall pass...

Let's pray
Heavenly Father, our gracious and compassionate Lord Jesus Christ, we come to you today. We know and we fully trust you that you are holding us right now. You are moving right now and you are able to conquer this pandemic virus. Lord, help us to overcome all the fears, worries, anxieties if ever we have it right now. We entrust to your our family, magkakahiwalay man kami Lord we know that through your love we are connected to each other. Your daily protection and strength be with us everyday. Lord, I personally entrust to you as well all the front liners - doctors, nurses, med techs, pharmacists, all medical practitioners even the scientists O Lord, guards, those who are working in supermarkets and food businesses, garbage collectors, street sweeper...all of them Lord who are working on this battle. Likewise Lord, give wisdom, knowledge and understanding to the government officials of all countries to lead their people in the right path. I ask comfort and healing to all patients whether they are infected or under investigation pa lang. I pray for comfort din po Lord to all families who are now bereaving for the death of their loved ones due to corona virus. Lord heal our land, heal the world. Let Your will prevail. I entrust these all, in Jesus mighty name. Amen.

God Bless us all :)
