Staying Safe & Healthy

Happy to be back here!

Its almost 2 years since my last entry. I have so many stories to share with you but I really don't know where to start, for the meantime let's talk about the talk of the town - the Corona Virus or COVID 19. I know all people know who is "COVID". Everyone knows his capacity to break a person's health, to put man into grave and to create fear, anxiety, and worries to all.

Sabi ko nga sa officemate ko kung ako ang papipiliin between a war and yung ganitong pandemic virus, I will choose war na lang. Bakit? at least sa war kita mo yung panganib, alam mo kung saan ka pwede magtago and yung prevention or precaution na gagawin mo nakikita mo kung may effect ba talaga, but in fighting the virus, para kang nakikipaglaban sa hangin - yung hindi mo alam kung nakascore ka na ba or mananalo ka ba talaga.

I just want to share 3 things that we can do in times like this.

First, we should take an EXTRA care. If we are careful before and cautious on how we are taking care or health and keeping our hygiene, then we should make it MORE and MORE this time.
Since I am still going to office to work, minsan nakakaparanoid na talaga lumabas. Laging nakasanitized ang kamay, may mask especially outside office, using tissue in pressing the lift, sanitizing the printer, table, phone and lahat na yata ng pwedeng isanitize! As much as possible, kung pwede lang talaga ayaw ko makikipagusap sa iba not because ayaw ko pero mas tingin ko ok na yun. I'm working in Procurement - so what to expect laging maraming suppliers na nagiinquire and maraming documents, the good things since the virus was announced that its already pandemic, bawal na ang supplier bumisita ng office and no hard copies na kami, pero it doesnt mean wala na ako ginagawa mas dumami actually kasi need ko iprint lahat sa head office. Anyways, back to taking care, yung 1.5 meter distancing talaga need ipractice. Physical distancing and not only social distancing. When I reached home, I also taking hot bath and sanitizing pa rin. I'd rather do that than to be sorry for nor doing an EXTRA CARE.

Second, its not only our  physical health that we should take care even our mental health. Worries, anxieties, and fears are only in the corner. Almost all people know so much information about the virus and social medias are feeding so much about it. Once you have a fear, anxiety or worry mas madaling bumagsak ang immune system natin. So to avoid that, you can stay away sa mga news na ganon instead if you can't really stay away from social media subscribe don sa mga page that will boost your spirit. BE MENTALLY HEALTHY.

Third, we must be SPIRITUALLY HEALTHY.  Pray and meditate. Before the pandemic virus attacked the world, ang lagi maririnig "wala akong oras" or "kulang ang oras ko" but now we have enough time. Meron nga na talagang bahay lang at nauubos ang oras sa social media or sa kakapanood ng mga movies, but have you ever allot kahit man lang 15 minutes to pray kay Lord. If there's best time to pray and to listen to Him through His word is NOW. People have a ton of excuses hindi tayo nauubusan ng excuses at gagawin kahit na sinasabi na naiinip at walang magawa still meron pa rin. The best weapon that we can have in this life, this time - is PRAYER.  People may fail you, your mobile or gadgets may break but our gracious Lord will not ever leave nor forsake you.  He can heal us physically, mentally, and emotionally.

PSALM 91 is really a good reminder of us during this time, it says:

1. Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”
3 Surely he will save you from the fowler’s snare and from the deadly pestilence.
4 He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
5 You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day,
6 nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday.
7 A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you.
8 You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked.
9 If you say, “The LORD is my refuge,” and you make the Most High your dwelling,
10 no harm will overtake you, no disaster will come near your tent.
11 For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways;
12 they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.
13 You will tread on the lion and the cobra; you will trample the great lion and the serpent.
14 “Because he loves me,” says the LORD, “I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
15 He will call on me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him.
16 With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.
Nobody knows until when this pandemic will end though we are all praying fervently for this to finish but its still the Lord Jesus Christ time table will prevail. The least we can do now is to continue to trust Him completely that He is moving - may ginagawa ang Panginoon. Maaring hindi man natin naiintindihan pero alam natin na kumikilos Sya, all we have to do is to trust Him and put our 100% hope on Him. God is able, He is always able.
So guys, STAY SAFE & DO EXTRA CARE, BE MENTALLY HEALTHY and SPIRITUALLY HEALTHY too.
This too shall pass...

Let's pray
Heavenly Father, our gracious and compassionate Lord Jesus Christ, we come to you today. We know and we fully trust you that you are holding us right now. You are moving right now and you are able to conquer this pandemic virus. Lord, help us to overcome all the fears, worries, anxieties if ever we have it right now.
